Malawi Projects

Consistent with its mission in the United States, YPI's focus in Malawi is on improving services for vulnerable children and their families. Its activities are guided by research on what works in Malawi, in particular, and sub-Saharan Africa, in general. YPI also closely coordinates its work with Malawian professionals and community members, who provide critical advice on YPI's funding priorities, as well as on program selection, design, and implementation.

YPI's activities in Malawi are wide-ranging. It is involved in school improvement programming, higher education, preventive health initiatives, housing development, facilitating civic engagement, and increasing evaluation activities, among other initiatives.
